About Nói.
A sociologist thinking about education, technology, and what it means to learn and act in a changing world.
Academic background
My work as a PhD researcher centres on the sociology of higher education and technology, with particular attention to generative AI, knowledge, and agency.
Professional work
I work as an Information technology manager at the Directorate of education and school services and a independent lecturer, bringing sociological perspectives to conversations about learning, institutional change, and emerging technologies.
Interests
Higher education, digital cultures, epistemology, student agency, and the social arrangements that shape how we use technology. I am also a tinkerer and a boardgame fan.
Technology
As a technophile, I am interested in both the possibilities of technology and the questions it raises about power, participation, and everyday life.
Posthumanism
Posthumanist perspectives help me examine how people, technologies, institutions, and material environments participate in learning and knowledge formation.
